The module combines foundational concepts of media literacy (credibility, sourcing, verification, transparency) with a practical exploration of AI tools relevant for newsrooms. Special emphasis is placed on understanding how algorithms shape information flows, how data trends reveal audience behavior, and how AI-assisted research can support efficient, evidence-based reporting. Through guided exercises, participants explore tools such as Pinpoint, NotebookLM, News Consumer Insights, and Google Trends, learning how to integrate them into daily editorial workflows responsibly.
